• 1904

    Silvio Battistolli is born in Breonio di Fumane on the Lessinia Plateau (Verona). As soon as he reaches adulthood, he enrols as a volunteer in the Carabinieri Cadets Legion in Turin.
  • 1935 – 1945

    In 1935, during the war in Africa, he is posted to Eritrea, where he stays three years. Here he is taken prisoner by the British and nothing is heard of him for several years.
  • 1947 – 1950

    Silvio returns home to Italy and is awarded the War Merit Cross. He is transferred to Posina, in the province of Vicenza, where he moves with his wife. In 1949 their first child, Luigi, is born, followed in 1953 by his sister Rosanna. Leaving the military, he is employed by "Tre Effe", a major metals bank, to provide daily transport between Vicenza and Milan.
  • 1959

    In time, Silvio would offer the same service to many other clients, to the extent that in 1959, he decided to set up his own business, with the help of his wife. This is the start of the company which will later become the Battistolli Group.
  • 1960 – 1975

    With the involvement and support of Silvio's family, the carrier business grows. Increasing numbers of clients - not only in Vicenza - draw on his experience for the transportation of their valuables. In 1974 Silvio's son Luigi Battistolli follows in his father's footsteps and starts his own one-man business.
  • 1976 – 1980

    The first armoured van is purchased The network of contacts grows and the first hubs are opened in Milan and Valenza Po.
  • 1984 – 1986

    The Rangers private security organisation is founded, with the aim of offering its services to both commercial and private clients. This is followed by the creation of Pro.Sy.T. to provide technical support for Rangers.
  • 1986

    The sector of international shipping of gold and fine jewellery is expanded with the creation of a firm to provide technical support for the customs procedures needed for the transport of valuables worldwide.
  • 1992

    Battistolli enters the field of transport for fine watchmaking, adapting its systems for the speedy transport of valuable goods. Following the rapid increase in business in this sector, distribution is decentralised, thanks to the involvement of local partners. The firm embarks on the design and construction of its own armoured vehicles.
  • 1999

    1999 sees the creation of Satelicom, a firm specialising in the implementation and management of satellite radio-location services covering the whole of Europe.
  • 2001 – 2002

    With the advent of the new European currency, Battistolli handles almost 30% of the entire currency changeover in Italy. The operation is executed so successfully that the firm enters the field of cash transport and management for top Italian banks.
  • 2006

    Continuing the development of operations, the firm sets up Battistolli Logistica to handle all warehousing activities on behalf of selected clients, with its own protected premises.
  • 2008 - 2010

    Since 2008, BTV, one of the Battistolli Group's firms, has strengthened its position in the sector of security and surveillance for private clients, industry and commerce. Battistolli became a Group, with the aim of continuing the diversification in its operational areas.
  • 2014

    In 2014 Rangers Servizi Fiduciari s.r.l. is founded, its core business being the provision of unarmed security services. This is later extended to offer an array of services made available to the market.
  • 2019

    The Group marks its 60th birthday with a comprehensive restyling of its image: a new corporate website, new brochure and a commemorative video which tells the story of Battistolli from every angle.
